PS - The league tables, top scorers charts and fair play tables have all been finalised on the site for 2008/09. is aware of the rumours circulating in relation to Quilligans FC having inadvertently fielded an ineligible player during last Friday's emphatic Gledhill Cup win.  We have been asked to clarify the position. can officially confirm that the player was NOT suspended and that the LFA have confirmed their error.  They mistakenly stated on their website that the player was suspended from 01/05/09 when it should have read 11/05/09.  The error not only caused a period of disquiet for Quilligans FC as they faced the real threat of expulsion from the Gledhill competition.  In addition, they were unable to field the player in the important title decider as they were still mistakenly under the impression that said player was still suspended.  We are happy to make this clarification.
