The chase for the Division 1 title, one of the closest and most entertaining Alliance Divisions in recent seasons, had to be settled on Boundary Park this morning.  Leaders Harris & Co needed only a point against Argosy Sports & Social but a defeat combined with a McDonald Property victory who were playing Castle Gardens on the adjacent pitch would have resulted in McDonald finishing top of the league.  How did it end up ?

Fleetwood Town FC make it sixteen league wins from sixteen games after a 2-1 win over fierce rivals Quilligans.  A point from Wednesday night's away game against the Mortgage Shop will now be enough to secure the Premier Division title.

Three big games in Division 1 with four of the top five in action.  The top two in Division 3A also had games on Commonedge as did Division 2B favourites Red Rose Catering.  The Alliance again attracting TV coverage as the 3B fixture between Supreme and Fluid Edge Reserves was covered for Granada Soccer Night.

An entertaining Premier Division Cup semi-final between Bispham Juniors and the Golden Eagle.  Two controversial penalties in a game in which the lead changed hands three times.
